  3. Love mental illness! Is the story told from the main character’s point of view? If so, how did you manage to keep him sane enough to be a reliable narrator?

    • Great comment.
      The story is told after the protagonist has undergone treatment for his symptoms.

      Any narrators reliability is only subjective. The reader will choose what to believe.
      At the depths of his illness the protagonist gives a child funnel web spiders to play with and tells him that they like to be patted.
      However, I think that I have still created a likeable character that people will identify with.
